VoGhost $42.9K? You can get a Model 3 Performance for $45.7K after rebate.Raise those cars' prices another 10% and I'll probably keep my Infiniti. The Infiniti is so good that there isn't much on the market that is significantly better. Now, it's over $114k.I've been thinking about selling my 15-year-old Infiniti to a friend and buying something new. I was used to seeing a starting price for a Carrera a bit over $100k. Kendahl Porsche raised its prices substantially only a few weeks ago.

  • VoGhost Reminds me of the Section 179 tax loophole for vehicles > 6,000 lbs.
  • VoGhost You knew Stellantis wasn't serious when they decided to not sell a single Alfa in the US with a stick.
  • Despite paying an arm and a leg to do this. The wood veneer sure was not as perfect as in Rollses. That car looked great outside, long and wide, with the suicide doors, but the owner thought the interior was lousy and not up to par with the exterior, so he spent an arm and a leg at some shop in MA and told them to make the interior as similar to a ROLLS ROYCE interior as possible. The result must have been a major improvement, but it still sure did not look like any Rolls Royce interior, despite using the best materials, RR leathers, the legendary sheepskin deep carpets (that go baaaah when you sink your foot in them). I am here to mention a very interesting upgrade of a Legendary 1963 Lincoln 4-door convertible.

  • It might be entitled the stupid things that you do when your young and have more money than brains. Traded a 76 Corvette for it and then traded the T-Bird to get a customized disco style van (another story for later). Each morning when you went to start it one or both of the hideaway headlight flaps would be raised (think that they ran on a vacuum system). Bad starter and bad alternator right out of the factory.

Unfortunately the darn thing was a true lemon. In its day I would say it was comparable to how a 5 Series BMW is viewed today as far as status/prestige and the type of person who would buy one. T-Birds still had a lot of carry over prestige at the time. It was an aspirational car, considered a 'personal luxury vehicle', combining all the available creature comforts with a big V-8. Personally back then I loved the look, as did my peers. Even the floor mats had white thunderbirds embossed on them. Silver/grey exterior and matching interior with split bench seats. 351 engine, velour interior and most of the available options.
